The deficits seen in PD patients has a lot to do with information processing speed. This can attenuate itself into several domains, such as attention, memory, and executive functioning. As for an everyday, practical example, this may manifest in not being able to remember why you walked into a room or where you left your keys after just setting them down. These small tasks that are mediated by working memory may be a deficit due to these abnormalities.

What problems do you think these patients have in everyday life because of the processing speed/ white matter abnormalities?
